Slope Front Concrete Shelters

Our Slope-Front Storm Shelters are reinforced with rebar and fiber mesh and are waterproofed using a solvent that we add to the concrete mix, which ensures a comfortable and dry shelter. We also compress the concrete between 6K - 8K psi to ensure a clean, smooth finish internally and externally.

Additional features of our Slope-Front Storm Shelters are listed below:

  • The walls are 3" thick, and the ceiling and floors are 4 "thick.
  • Standard shelters are 6'2" tall.
  • All shelters have an 8" turbine and a 6" intake vent.
  • Doors are 30" wide with a spring assist and constructed out of 11 gauge steel.
  • 3-point latching mechanisms with one handle control.
  • 3 heavy duty hinges.
  • The staircase has dual handrails and a skid tap on each step for safety. Our standard shelter has 4 steps.
  • We offer a 10-year manufacturer warranty against leaking.
  • Outside handrail available for standard shelters.

Easy Access Shelters

Only our Standard and Jumbo models are available for easy access.

We design our Standard and Jumbo models to offer easy entry for those with limited mobility issues or who need a taller shelter. The Interior height is 6'8", 6" taller than the standard unit, and the staircase has dual handrails with five gently sloped steps with added skid tape on each step. In addition, we include a safety rail attached to the outside with all easy-access shelters.

We had a 6x8 sloping put in early Jan 2022 and had a great experience with Arkansas Storm Shelters. We live on top of a rocky hill and Jared tried 3 times before he found the install spot - he did not give up and it was greatly appreciated! The only thing I can offer for constructive criticism, is the stairs are really steep so we had to make a ramp for our dogs, and the customer service was a bit slow on my questions...but they did get back to me after my follow ups. All in all, very satisfied and would recommend.
